Job Title: Journeyman Level 1 (80%)

Work Hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm - Monday through Friday, may require some evenings and weekends

Primary Job Function

Follow instructions of project lead, managers and dispatcher. Perform routine cleaning of ductwork and dryer vents. Perform routine maintenance residential and commercial equipment. Install HVAC equipment with minimal assistance from supervisors. Ability to service HVAC equipment with minimal assistance from supervisors.

Qualifications

Same qualifications as Technician Level 1, 2 & 3 with addition of the following.

Completed an apprenticeship program or at this level of experiance. Ability to work alone and complete work in a timely manner. Ability to communicate clearly tasks and direction to level 1, 2 & 3 technicians. Train, instruct and oversee team members. Able to read and comprehend installation instructions. Ability to build duct fittings with no assistance from supervisors. Ability to read a set of plans Ability to layout and install new construction projects with no assistance. Ability to service and install boilers with minimal assistance. Ability to service and install refrigeration projects with minimal assistance. Know mechanical code for installation.

Daily Duties

  • Ready to work at start time
  • Report any and all injuries daily and note on time sheet
  • Relocate from one project to another as dispatched
  • Report to dispatcher when arriving and leaving a project (service maintenance)
  • Operate a company vehicle
  • Follow instructions and carry out work in a timely manner
  • Report any problems with tools or equipment to manager
  • Attend and participate in all team meetings and training.
  • Customer interaction, communication and collection of monies of services performed
  • Duct cleaning of homes and businesses as needed
  • Dryer vent cleaning as needed
  • Furnace tune-up & cleanings residential and commercial
  • Air conditioning tune-up & cleanings residential and commercial
  • Service of all HVAC equipment
  • Attend safety training monthly
  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
  • On call status for after hours and weekends
  • Complete all warranty paperwork and service related form properly
  • Other duties as assigned
